Hi. Hope y’all can help. I order a pair of head gaskets from y’all. They’re for a 02 dodge 1500 4.7. I noticed they holes for the coolant are plugged on some and bigger on the others. Other than that. It fits just fine. Do y’all modify that ? I did I buy the wrong one??

So, lets say I run cammed alumin heads tri metal is good. Next how does that affect oil weight? If it called for 5-30 a 10-30 ( to keep the bearings wet when the engine is shut off) maybe even a 15-40 (its never below 40 where I live) and I drive hard

Before buying this machine, I watched UA-cam and saw how to use it. There was no step to add compressor oil, but everything was set up automatically, so I thought it would happen automatically if I put oil in the machine, but that's not the case with this machine. Is there a model that automatically adds compressor oil? Or do all these new machines have to add compressor oil manually? If all models add oil manually, why did they make the entire process automatic?

Exact same thing as it's been for nearly 4 decades with turbocharged engines: 1. Frequent oil & filter changes. 2. Only use oils with the very latest API (SP) and ILSAC (GF-6) designations available. 3.Use the appropriate viscosity recommended by the manufacturer. If they say it's 0W-20, don't go off claiming to know better and put in a 5W-30. 4. 100% synthetics are ideal as they are vastly superior to conventional oils at resisting thermal breakdown. 5. As with any vehicle, use mature driving habits and don't stomp the throttle from a standing stop. 6. Make sure the vehicle is warmed up before you take it up to top speed on the expressway. 7. Don't shut the engine down right away when you get to your destination, but let it cool for 2-3 minutes. 8. Don't modify your vehicle.

Yes, most modern engines run turbo cool-down systems after engine shutdown. I have a 2019 Abarth 595 which has a cool-down system as stock. Where damage does occur is when the car coolant temperature shows that it has reached temperature but the oil has not. Oil takes much longer to get to optimum lubrication temperature, and the real damage occurs when people drive their cars hard before then. Obviously when modifying your engine you can expect longevity of the engine to decrease significantly. That's logical! People who modify their engines know this and accept the consequences. Most of them reverse the modifications before having reliability issues, and sell the car as "stock" to some unsuspecting buyer.

If u change oil and filter at Manufacturer's suggested intervals, u can say goodbye for your whole engine and turbo muuuch muuuuuch earlier :D, I change mine every 3000 miles instead of 12 500 miles

My Mahle bearings do not have a "upper and lower" marking, (CLE CB743A8), does this means they are not specific for orientation and can be both upper and lower?

This also happened to the Buicks with the 3800. i have several and they all failed with dexcool. I understand they fixed them and all that but I also understand I'm just not going to take the chance on it and I change them to green antifreeze . If I buy any GM product from the '90s to the mid-2000s I immediately flush out that all the coolant and put the green crap in. never had a problem like that. im looking at buying a 2000 LeSabre tomorrow 60k miles , guys great grandmas car, has the dexcool in it , that's being changed right after I drive it home. it's either that or I KNOW I'll have to change the gaskets (unless the dealership already did that) I love the engines of GM cars of the 90's and early 2000's but I am sick of doing intake gaskets on them ha ha .
